Review

Phun is a program that simulates a 2D physics sandbox. By using this program, you will be able to create scenes with different physical effects, combining them with art that you can draw using the mouse. You can create scenes in which the things you include can interact (colliding and bouncing), fly, flow, swing or ride. You can test the behavior of your scene by pressing the "Play" button. The program will simulate then the physics of the scene, showing you the movements your things will have in the real world. You will have to learn how to put things together in order to perform elaborated movements. That's a part of fun. You will learn that placing the objects with the gravity disabled will be an easy task. When you want things to start moving just activate gravity. But sometimes removing the gravity will not stop the movement, so you'll need to figure out how to include the objects. Once you have finished your scene, you can save it on a disk. You can also load scenes made by others, or download them from the Phun site.
  • It´s a fun way to learn about physics.
  • None.

This program is awsome. Its basically a toy that allows you to run basic physics simulations in 2D. Includes particle physics (liquids), motors, hinges, springs, bouncyness, friction, density.
Suprisingly fun and sometimes hilarious.
